Tom Duggan, LCSW

Tom Duggan has been providing individual,
family, adolescent and group psychotherapy since
1980. He has developed a large practice treating
children, adolescents, adults and couples within
the family, educational, and individual
treatment environments. One of his specific
areas of treatment has been working with males
from childhood through marriage. Tom is a
founding partner at the Fauquier Counseling
Center, where he has been Director since 1983.
Tom was born in Virginia, completed his
undergraduate work at Randolph Macon University
and graduate study at Virginia Commonwealth
University. His clinical training included
supervision and study at University of
Virginia’s Medical School within the Department
of Psychiatry, where there was an emphasis on
treatment with families. He has since done
postgraduate work at the Family Therapy
Institute in Rockville, Maryland.
Tom’s wife, Julie, is a middle school teacher in
the Fauquier County public school system. They
have two children, Caitlin and Patrick. The
Duggans live next to the Rappahannock River, and
all four are involved in canoeing and kayaking. |
